ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring for Optimal Data Management
Organizations are creating, collecting, storing, and processing massive amounts of data. This presents a relentless challenge for storage administrators to be proactive when it comes to overall storage health. ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring can help you stay ahead of potential problems and find opportunities to optimize.
ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring simplifies managing and monitoring performance, capacity, and the health of Lenovo ThinkSystem DE, DG, DM, and DS Series systems through features like automated alerts, performance monitoring, capacity forecasting, and more.
Actionable Intelligence
AutoSupport telemetry is a powerful asset for uncovering risks within your storage environment and increasing system health and uptime. By enabling AutoSupport and sending vital system data from your DM, DG, DS, and DE Series storage arrays, ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring proactively detects potential issues before they impact performance, helping to identify risk factors early and providing targeted recommendations to safeguard your infrastructure.
With AutoSupport, you benefit from timely alerts and actionable guidance, empowering you to address vulnerabilities and optimize configurations for maximum reliability. The result is improved system health, enhanced availability, and greater peace of mind knowing your storage systems can operate at peak efficiency while minimizing downtime.
Proactive Care and Optimization
ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring simplifies maintaining your storage systems' health. It tracks systems as they approach performance or capacity limits, even if these changes are sudden or unexpected, and provides forecasts for future capacity needs. You can receive notifications either within the web application or directly in your inbox through email subscriptions. Additionally, ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring helps you keep track of upcoming renewal dates, so your systems remain supported.
Improve Performance and Availability
ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring (TIM) identifies when your storage environment can benefit from the latest software and firmware updates. TIM will alert you whenever your storage arrays are running a version below the minimum supported standard or when there is a newer OS available. These critical notifications, available on the web UI or via email, help ensure you are aware of any vulnerabilities or unsupported software before it impacts performance or security.
By keeping you updated about the availability of new features, bug fixes, and important security patches, TIM empowers administrators to make informed decisions about optimizing their storage environments. TIM’s recommendations highlight the benefits of upgrading, such as improved reliability, access to new features, and enhanced protection against security threats.

How to Get Started
ThinkSystem Intelligent Monitoring is powered by AutoSupport from your DE, DG, DM, and DS storage. AutoSupport monitors the health of your system and automatically sends to Lenovo event logs, performance data, configuration and system state information to assist with faster resolution and higher uptime should your storage system encounter problems. The AutoSupport feature is not enabled by default on your system. You can enable AutoSupport during the installation via Setup Wizard, or at any time afterward from support settings.
